Tea Tree Oil Home Remedy For Acne And More



Tea Tree Oil is extracted from the leaves of tea trees which grow in Australia. It is a clear liquid with a distinctive smell.  It has anti-bacterial, anti-septic and germicidal properties It is great to use on cuts and scrapes, and is also great to use to treat acne as a home remedy for acne.  

Tea Tree Oil (5%) is said to be as effective as benzoyl Peroxide, however, it did take longer to work.  

Tea Tree oil can be dabbed onto a cotton ball and applied directly to your blemishes.

For oily, acne-prone skin, try this toner using a combination of

1/4 cup distilled water
1/4 cup witch hazel
1 teaspoon tea tree oil


Tea Tree Oil is also great as a moisturizer and cleanser.  It opens clogged pores removes bacteria from the skin.  It is also an anti-oxidant. Tea Tree oil controls free radicals in the body and boosts the production of collagen.

Tea Tree oil is a handy natural skin care ingredient to have around the house. In addition to treating acne, it can also be used on insect bites, sunburn, and blisters.  It is also used on head lice, athlete's foot, toenail infections and rashes.


VALUABLE TIP: You can add a few drops of tea tree oil to your vaporizer (or steam bath) this winter to help relieve coughs and colds.
